Bio
Iain Mangum is a queer, disabled, hispanic and latino visual artist born in Salt Lake City, UT and raised in the Seattle, WA area. He is currently studying at Cornish college of the Arts where he is a candidate for the 2018 BFA Show. He works with numerous mediums, however, his primary focus is on film and digital photography. His photographic work is heavily experimental and deconstructs conventional boundaries between analogue and digital processes. Through the small plastic lens of a Holga camera, Iain creates images which reflect on loss, entropy and desire for acceptance. His work has been featured at SCOPE Miami Beach, 2015, Your Daily Photograph (a service of the Duncan Miller Gallery) and numerous shows at Cornish College of the Arts.
